We’re seeking a meticulous and motivated Staff Accountant I to join our growing accounting team. What You’ll Be Doing:
As the Staff Accountant I, you’ll provide essential support to our Accounting Department, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP standards. You’ll work on a broad array of accounting functions—from reconciliations and journal entries to audits and expense compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify corporate purchase card transactions and staff reimbursements to ensure compliance with Travel & Expense policies.
- Support month-end close by creating and recording journal entries with an understanding of financial impact.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve reconciling items.
- Prepare and record daily bank deposits and handle related inquiries from banks and merchant services.
- Assist with financial analysis of general ledger accounts and propose reclassifications as necessary.
- Process per diems and travel expense accounts in accordance with policy.
- Allocate AP invoices and review AP Aging reports and vendor statements as needed.
- Respond to accounting inquiries and support the annual audit process.
- Contribute to special projects related to process improvement, reconciliations, and financial tracking.
